Michael J. Weaver, Esq. Joins JAMS in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Michael J. Weaver, Esq. Mr. Weaver will be based in the JAMS San Diego Resolution Center and serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Class Action/Mass Torts, Employment, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Professional Liability, Real Property and Securities.

Prior to joining JAMS, Mr. Weaver was a partner with Latham and Watkins, where he handled a wide range of legal issues. He brings 20 years of experience as a mediator and arbitrator, with particular expertise in partnership disputes and professional liability claims. Before his career as a full-time neutral, Mr. Weaver handled matters in state and federal forums, including bankruptcy court in multiple jurisdictions.

Mr. Weaver received his A.B. from California State University, Long Beach and his J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law. He is a fellow in both the American College of Commercial Arbitrators and the American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he is a former director of the National Conflict Resolution Center.
