International Investor-State Mediation Competition (IIMC) Colombo

JAMS is proud to be a supporting organization of this year's edition of the International Investor-State Mediation Competition (IIMC). Join JAMS neutral Joe Tirado at the IIMC to be held in person for the first time on August 21-27, 2023, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The IIMC will provide a global platform for mediation enthusiasts to learn from some of the best in the field and compete and reflect on resolving Investor-State Disputes using mediation. 

IIMC Colombo hosted by the Moot Court Bench, was established in Colombo, Sri Lanka in January last year as the World's First Investor-State Mediation Competition with the participation of 16 negotiator teams and 8 mediator teams from across the globe. Their key supporting organizations for the event were the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (UNCITRAL RCAP), the International Mediation Institute (IMI), and the Ministry of Justice in Sri Lanka.
